Basic Socks

Begin to Spin!

DATE  TIME  CLASS  COST  INSTRUCTOR  IMAGE Friday, July 18th and 25th  6-8pm Learn the basics of spinning your own yarn!  You will use a top-whorl spindle and wool.  2 classes.  1st class: learn about spinning and start your first yarn.  2nd class: ply the yarn you created last week. Wool will be provided for you to learn on - spindles and fiber are available at the shop   $20 plus spindle (10% off spindle when you have paid for the class)  Sherry West

Jewelry Stringing Basics

DATE  TIME  CLASS  COST  INSTRUCTOR  IMAGE Saturday, June 19th  1-3pm Learn jewelry stringing basics and you will be able to create jewelry to match any outfit and make unique and personal gifts. We will cover: use of tools, and techniques (including crimps, clasps, creating wire-wrapped loops, and more).  You will create a bracelet and earrings.  You need basic tools, a bead board, a  wire/toggle kit, and your choice of beads (all available at the shop)  You may also make a necklace if time allows.  $15 plus supplies (10% off supplies with paid class)  Sherry West

Basic Crocheted Bag

DATE  TIME  CLASS  COST  INSTRUCTOR  IMAGE Thursday, July 24th  6-8pm Learn the basics of crochet while you create an easy small purse.  You will need: Worsted weight yarn of choice (we suggest Cascade 220 because of the color variety & ease of working.) crochet hook (midrange size; an "h" or "i" ) a button to fasten the purse.  scissors for cutting yarn tapestry needle for working in ends and sewing up sides.  $20 plus supplies Sandi Waldron

Bead Weaving - Picot Drop Lace Necklace

Double Knit Sock

DATE  TIME  CLASS  COST  INSTRUCTOR  IMAGE August 7th and 14th  6-8pm Use the technique of double knitting to create a pair of socks.  You can make a seamless tube on 2 straight needles.  Toes and heels are added afterwards on double points or 2 circulars.  3 classes.  1st class: learn the technique and create a small purse. (it is easier to learn plain stockinette first before ribbing in double knitting) 2nd class: learn to make an open instead of a closed tube, and how to do ribbing in double knitting.   3rd class:  heels and toes  The date of the 3rd class will be determined later by the students when they feel they are ready. You are strongly encouraged to attend all 3 classes since out of fairness to the other students we will not go over what was missed in the previous classes.  $10/class plus yarn and needles (bulky yarn suggested for 1stpair;technique is adaptable to other yarns) all suppplies avail. at the shop Sherry West
